MIAMI, Florida—December 10, 2003--Perry Ellis International (Nasdaq:PERY) announced today a new license agreement with the Utex Fashion Group (Montreal) for the production of Perry Ellis® women's coats, rainwear and outerwear. These product category launches are set for fall 2004 distribution in the United States and Canada. In addition, Utex Fashion Group will be distributing Perry Ellis(R) men's tailored clothing and men's outerwear in Canada for fall 2004.

Montreal based-Utex Fashion Group also produces coats and outerwear under the Utex, Hilary Radley, Jones New York and Massimo Moda labels. The Fall 2004 collection will be launched to retailers in February and will be available to the consumer in July.
